Grace in Every Drop

Grace in Every Drop

Seven years ago, I found a tattoo artist who specialized in fine cursive script. From the start, I knew the word I wanted etched on my right hand: grace. I wanted a constant reminder of a higher path—a way of being that feels more in service to others, more devoted to something greater than myself.

The word grace holds multiple meanings. As a noun, it signifies simple elegance, refined movement, and courteous goodwill. As a verb, it means to honor or bring credit to someone or something by one's presence. When I think of grace, the first image that comes to mind is a ballerina or perhaps a swan—creatures that move with effortless poise and serenity.

Curious about its origins, I went down a rabbit hole of research. According to Merriam-Webster, grace dates back to Middle English and was first used in the 12th century with the meaning: “unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification.”

So what does this have to do with body and face oils?

In creating these products, I discovered the transformative power of scent—how it can transport us to another place and time. I carefully selected ingredients, not only for their ability to nourish the skin but also for their capacity to soothe the spirit. What does it take for us to truly soothe ourselves? A tender embrace? A walk in nature? A nap? A bath? A meal shared with loved ones? Music? The appreciation of a beautiful work of art?

With this in mind, I sought to create a product that would remind me of my own grace—even in moments when life felt overwhelming.

That’s why the tagline for our products is “nurture your grace.” As I hold the face oil in my hands, I catch a glimpse of the faint traces of my tattoo. It serves as a quiet reminder to pause, to reflect, and to nurture ourselves into more grace. Perhaps a single drop of nourishing oil can be one small step in that direction.

May we all embrace life with the spirit of grace.
